Terrorism should be condemned wherever it happens, not selectively, the former British MP has said<\/strong><\/p>\n

EU leaders are losing their remaining credibility by condemning Russia\u2019s retaliatory strikes against Ukrainian military targets while ignoring Kiev\u2019s deadly drone attack on a college dorm in the Lugansk People\u2019s Republic, former British MP George Galloway has said.<\/p>\n

Ukraine struck a teacher training college dormitory in the Russian town of Starobelsk with several waves of UAVs on Friday, killing 21 people \u2013 most of them teenage girls \u2013 and injuring 60 others.<\/p>\n

On Sunday, the Russian Defense Ministry said it had carried out a large-scale retaliatory raid involving hypersonic Oreshnik systems, as well as other missiles and drones, hitting command centers of the Ukrainian ground forces, military intelligence facilities, air bases, and defense industry enterprises. The ministry stressed that the bombardment was a response to terrorist attacks by Kiev and that no civilian facilities had been targeted.<\/p>\n

European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, however, claimed that the Russian strike was a display of \u201cbrutality and disregard for both human life and peace negotiations.\u201d<\/em>\u00a0<\/p>\n

EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas accused Moscow of \u201cpolitical scare-tactics,\u201d<\/em> while French President Emmanuel Macron said the deployment of the hypersonic Oreshnik missile \u201conly reinforced\u201d<\/em> the EU\u2019s determination to continue supporting Kiev. None of the European leaders mentioned the Ukrainian attack on the college dormitory in Lugansk in their statements.<\/p>\n

In an interview with RT on Sunday, Galloway described Ukrainian strike as \u201cmurder most foul\u201d<\/em> and \u201can act of terrorism,\u201d<\/em> adding that \u201cyou would have expected any decent person, any right-thinking person, to condemn it unequivocally.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

The attack by Kiev was \u201cso vast and so vile that any government in the world would have been forced to respond to it in precisely the way that Russia has done,\u201d<\/em> Galloway stated.

\u201cWell, Macron actually condemned the retaliatory strike without reference to what it was a retaliation for. How\u2019s that for French hypocrisy?\u201d<\/em> the former British MP, who hosts the \u2018Mother of All Talk Shows\u2019 (MOATS) program on YouTube, noted.<\/p>\n

Speaking about von der Leyen\u2019s criticism, Galloway recalled that European nations such as Britain, France, and Belgium have themselves suffered terrorist attacks in recent years.
