from Gaza.<\/p>\n<p class=\"a-read-more\"><span class=\"a-read-more__label\">Read more<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.france24.com\/en\/middle-east\/20260527-trump-board-of-peace-official-gaza-fund-is-empty-despite-billions-pledged-source-says\" target=\"_self\" class=\"a-read-more__link\">Trump Board of Peace&#8217;s official Gaza fund is empty despite billions pledged, source says<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Ghazi Hamad, a member of the group&#8217;s negotiating team, said the movement was making &#8220;concessions for the sake of our people in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.france24.com\/en\/tag\/gaza-strip\/\" target=\"_self\" class=\"gtm-add-suggested-tag\">Gaza Strip<\/a>, to save them from killing and displacement&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The agreement contains a clear provision stating that Israel must commit to and implement its obligations. If Israel does not implement the agreement, neither will we,&#8221; Hamad said.<\/p>\n<p>A diplomatic source told AFP before the deal&#8217;s announcement that the plan would create &#8220;a process for the elimination of all tunnels, depots of weapons and any weapons production facilities&#8221;.<\/p>\n<h2>Who will implement the deal?<\/h2>\n<p>The Board of Peace confirmed in a post on X that Hamas had &#8220;agreed to a detailed Roadmap for implementing the next phases of the Gaza ceasefire&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Our focus now turns to implementation,&#8221; the organisation wrote, adding that the National Committee for Administration of Gaza (NCAG), established by Trump&#8217;s Board of Peace, will &#8220;soon begin a phased transition toward full authority&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p class=\"a-read-more\"><span class=\"a-read-more__label\">Read more<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.france24.com\/en\/middle-east\/20260707-hamas-withdrawal-from-gaza-governance-a-bid-to-unblock-deadlocked-peace-plan\" target=\"_self\" class=\"a-read-more__link\">Hamas withdrawal from Gaza governance a bid to unblock &#8216;deadlocked&#8217; peace plan<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Trump said in a social media post the International Stabilization Force &#8220;will work with a new Palestinian police force to take responsibility for Gaza being safe for its residents and its neighbours&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>Hamas announced earlier this month that it had <a href=\"https:\/\/www.france24.com\/en\/middle-east\/20260706-hamas-dissolves-gaza-governing-body-clearing-way-for-technocratic-committee\" target=\"_self\">dissolved its government in Gaza<\/a> and was preparing to transfer power to a technical committee backed by the United Nations as part of the ceasefire deal<\/p>\n<h2>What is the situation in Gaza?<\/h2>\n<p>An October ceasefire remains in place between Israel and Hamas, but it has not halted the violence in Gaza. We must agree on every detail: how the agreement will be implemented, when it will be implemented and the mechanisms for carrying it out.
